WEll Hell.

2 days ago, was coming down a hill and the KLR quit on me.. Glided to the side. Would not start. Had to walk it home, started to take it apart. The whole engine was flooded. I bled out the carburetor, and took out the gas soaked air filter. Some friends over at klrworld told me that the “float might be stuck” and some rl friends told me that I “fowled your spark plug”.

Here is after I loosened the shrouds and before lifting the tank.

Found some metal gunk and a pebble. And sure enough. Sparkplug Black as heck.

Will update soon, I hope I can put the thing back together!

*As of today, the bike has been fixed.  I put a new sparkplug in and WOOOOM. Starts.  I also changed the oil and stock filter. I am using Rotella 15-30.

Just got two Scorpion EX400 Warhawk Helms for me and my lover. 99 bux on sale. Too big though! RMAing and getting an XL and Medium. Won’t be able to ride for a week or two.

Also, Bike went dead for some reason…left the gas switch off while riding! NOOB!@ flooded engine?

Had to walk it home a mile!

We just bought a Dual Sport and went over on the other side of the mountains in the jeep to pick it up.

I can’t get away from GrannySmith Green it seems, Just like my Bike I built from scratch.
I am following this break in procedure as close as I can. The forums at KLR world are great. The AV Rider one is really good too. Adventure riding! I found out te slang version for 650 cc’s are ” Thumpers”, and the KLR650 has a large cult following and they are very supportive for noobs such as myself.

Wen could not even touch the ground!

Today at my job during an intake assessment, a six month old infant’s airway became compromised. I noticed because mom stood, up and the baby took a hurl four feet long of milk all over the floor. I pulled out the garbage can from under my desk so the kid could puke in it. I asked her if I could help and was given implied consent via her worried voice and trembling hands. I took the baby and just as I had learned in an infant cpr class, here -put the baby on my left forearm, and with my wrist, pounded on her back a little bit.

It still was apneic, as bottled snotmilk was coming out of its little nose and was coughing it up,-but not inhaling!

We tried again hitting it’s little back. I was about to call 911 had the baby gone unconcious, but we looked in her mouth and pulled out a sticker. The baby started crying (clear airway) -thank God and I gave her back to her mother to hold and comfort.

Had a routine MRI last week and seeing speech therapist.
