Went to the mountains with my friend Brian and built an igloo @ Stevens Pass. It took about 6 hours to complete but it was the biggest one I have ever built. I bought the YangFang snow saw off the net and it worked swell. The next day we spent time snowshoing around the fresh powder above the igloo. The last time I built one here was with a boyscout friend Dan back in maybe 1994. We learned from his dad in the mid 80s while in Boyscouts. The best trip was to Paradise Mt Rainier. Dan had gotten his bag dripped on and had to jump into a bag with his brother to prevent hypothermia. Marysville Troop 80 FTW!

Ethically, snowcampers are supposed to "leave no trace" and tear down their igloos so this does not happen to unwary backcountry hikers.
