I had a bike fit on my restored 90’s Allez and feel pretty good about it. I plan to do a Half Iron this summer with it, but will need a serious upgrade for IronMan 2010. He basically wants to convert my road bike into a tribike-moving me forward over the tire. The Bike fit is below, if anyone is interested to give me pointers. Jason is a pro tri and Xterra racer who does fits for Black Diamond Sports Therapy in Washington.
Comments: Work on driving the knee over the handlebars during drill work on trainer. Want to create better hip flexor strength as well as eliminating heel drop.
Corrective Steps (if any):
Mechanical: Left Foot- 3 mm varus tilt/slide foot closer to bike/angle cleat 1mm to allow for heel out.
Right Foot-1.5 mm Varus Tilt/ angle cleat 1 mm to allow for heel out. Saddle- forward 7 mm.
Structural:
Knee Angle: TDC=106 Saddle Height= 31 3/4 H-Bar height= 36 7/8
TBC=37 Seat Tube angle (Center of saddle)= 70 degee
Reach (saddle tip to bar)=21 3/4
Recommendations: Profile Fast forward seat post in 350 length/ 110 to 120 mm 0 degree quil stem.
